The Military Jeep Had an Unprecedented Run
In 1939, the U.S. Army came to the realization that it needed a capable replacement for the motorcycle and sidecar combination it had used in WWI. The Army wanted a fast, lightweight vehicle that could traverse any terrain, so they issued a list of demanding requirements to American automakers. The American Bantam Car Company responded by delivering a vehicle that would not only meet, but also exceed those requirements in only 49 days — a vehicle that would later be known as Jeep.
A whopping 700,000 Jeeps were built for WWII. A Jeep was also one of the first vehicles to hit the beaches of France on D-Day, giving the allies a serious advantage. The Jeep was revolutionary for the Army during this critical time period in world history, as they were able to be airlifted into battle and driven virtually anywhere on a variety of missions.

CAD4X Lab EV Wrangler.
This is an impressive concept project from CAD4X Laboratory.
Based out of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology,
the research firm has developed some remarkably hardy Jeeps,
all running on fully electrified powertrains.
Their battery range may not be enough to warrant a sale like the Bollinger Motors B1;
rather, the CAD4X EV Jeeps are amazing as demonstrations of what EV tech is potentially capable of.
The CAD4X Jeeps can climb rocks and bypass tough terrain that would even challenge a gas model.
China with the Yuntu.
Unveiled last year at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, the Jeep Yuntu is geared towards the growing Chinese market. The word "yuntu" means "cloud," which certainly reflects the lofty nature of hybrid initiatives in the present. The Chinese government has made a major push for hybrid vehicles lately, and Jeep has jumped on the opportunity. The Jeep Yuntu will be the first hybrid available there of its kind. It's only been shown as a concept car thus far, but with an untapped market, there is every motivation for Jeep to move on it quickly.
EV Wrangler Unlimited.
Jeeps obviously aren't known for their clean eco-footprint, even if they are associated with the outdoors.
It bears mentioning that Jeep themselves tried their hand at changing that nearly a decade ago
with their very own EV Wrangler Unlimited.
The EV had its problems of course, with short range, weak power and high-cost chief among them.
It's possible the initiative was taken a little too early.
The electric Jeep never took off in 2008, but
it did set the foundation for the Wrangler to be used as a template for subsequent EVs and hybrids.

You know the times are changing when the big manufacturer itself decides to go in for a slice of the alternative fuel pie. The fact that Jeep has plans for a hybrid plug-in Wrangler is a good sign that it's finally becoming economically feasible to do so. It'll still be a while before it happens, as the hybrid release is currently set for 2020. A hybrid Wrangler seems mundane when you compare it to something like the Bollinger B1 for instance, but it certainly has wider ramifications. Even Ford are giving the F-150 a hybrid option come 2020. If all these announcements hold true, it seems like we're in for a clean driving revolution a couple of years from now.

I met Mr Anil Bajaj when he had come to the Election office at Shivaji Nagar. I told him my desire to use his jeep for campaigning I asked him to come to the Bharat Petroleum, Petrol Pump -Universal Filling Station on COCKBURN TOWN, BANGALORE 560051 near which i was printing my banner where i gave him a token advance of Rs 1000 and asked him to come at 3 PM.
For my satisfaction he left his jeep and went back to get the vehicle permission which he did at 3 PM and on my instruction he came to my residence at tannery road to pic me and came back to timmaiah road and then i took him to BP Petrol Pump at the corner of St johns church road and Wheeler Rd, Cleveland Town, Pulikeshi Nagar, Bengaluru, 560005 and I put diesel and we came back to timmaiah road near seppings from were we started the procession. Which went in the surrounding areas of shiviaji nagar Arunachal mudaliar street Muthiyalamma coil Narayana Pilla street, Petti grove street Mackan Road Memorial Street Russel Market Dharmaraj koil street Sultanji Gunta street and the surrounding areas of shivajinagar.
The Jeep was extremely robust and could take the weight of 10 persons and the driver anil bajaj was extremely careful while driving at walking speed in the narrow lanes.
