Make sure you rest between dance sessions.
Don’t push yourself too far or too fast, especially if you are a beginner.

Dancing is a great way to meet new friends
Find an exercise buddy
Let’s face it, we’re more likely to stick to physical activity if we do it with friends or family. It’s a great way to catch up and a great motivator.
Embrace your inner child
What types of activities did you enjoy when you were a kid? Did you participate in an organised team sport or do something less structured? Give them a try again. Take time out to discover what suits your physical, emotional and social needs.

Reward yourself / Don't beat yourself up Replace mantra ‘no pain no gain’ with ‘no fun no future’. If you are not enjoying yourself, you won’t be able to sustain it.
Be kind to yourself
Make sure you have a medical check up before starting any form of physical activity, especially if you’re over 40, overweight, haven’t exercised for a long time or have a chronic illness. Fill out this pre-exercise self-screening tool for adults.
If you miss a session that’s okay, even elite athletes need downtime after participating in rigorous activities. If you’re not in the mood, it’s important to focus on how exercise makes you feel – it not only relieves stress but helps fight sadness and depression!
Give yourself a reward each time you reach a fitness goal. It gives you the incentive to keep going. Treat yourself to something you enjoy, but make sure your rewards match your healthy lifestyle. As you make progress, you may find you end up rewarding yourself with something physical, such as a walk by the beach or river after a hard day’s work!
Keep a training diary or journal Be realistic Start small
Increase your activity time and intensity gradually. Take extra care if you are new to exercise or haven’t exercised for a while. Start out gently and build your endurance little by little – this way you’ll avoid overdoing it or injuring yourself! It’s a good idea to start with 10 minutes each day at first and then eventually work your way up to 30 minutes or more.
Take time to recognise these little improvements to your daily quality of life – it can increase your motivation. Reflect on how you feel before, during and after exercise. It’s a great way to track your progress.

Finally our trip to SHIVAGANGA

View from the top is stunning fog cleared by the time we reached at 9.AM although we started at 5 Am the drive 45km from 8th mile signal. Roads are clean brief stops to pay tolls 3 times no need to stop it scans and debits automatically India is progressing. Ample car and bike parking available. No tickets required. But carry your own water bottle and we carried butta (corn) ragi chapathi sanwich with tomato / cucumber or butter and jam great breeze good jacket was really nice and above all comfortable pair of shoes.

Trekking

We started at 7 am before the sun hits the sky rock climbing on mostly human-made steps / carved paths /walkable paths one of the toughest treks available around Bangalore. compared to skandagiri, kunti betta, savandurga, makalidurga really tough is Savandurga but excellent for beginners a distance 6 km with stalls serving selling water, soft drinks chips and other eatables The last 20% of the trek is the best part the toughest absolutely thrilling very steep for the last 600 steps to the Nandi sculpture on the top is a 90° inclination On stairs be very careful if could do it at 67 age after a heart attack and a stent in place you can do it too. No washroom available but a lot of jungle.

Summit. mesmerizing view

The pain and effort was worth the effort of reaching the clouds and nature. It is one of the beautiful hill tops which gives the best experience of a hill station. We had our breakfast on the top. Monkeys beware of them, keep your bag of food safely because they try to snatch it. We had bamboo staff like the one used by Mahatma Gandhi which was really helpful in both up and down. Lathi in one hand and support of Mr Rathi the tour organiser in the other. See the temples on the way down. While coming back you can have lunch at the temple. They serve delicious food sambhar, rice and payasam we missed the bele obbattu or bele holige coconut, chana dal, jaggery, ghee, cardamom, fennel seeds, nutmeg powder, turmeric,in a base of flour. as we reached down at 12 noon. Hindu Pilgrimage Shivaganga Hill gets its name from the shape of the mountain which resembles a Shivalinga and a spring which flows locally referred to as the Ganga. The total height of the mountain is 1368 metres (4,488 ft) 6 km from Dobbaspet sharing autos availavle, 25 km from Tumakuru and 54 km from Bengaluru.
